Rust Print Journal
Sitka Center for Art and Ecology
Rust Print Journal| July 8 & 9, 2017
In this unique workshop, we will create magical rust prints on mixed media paper, using found objects from the Oregon landscape to craft a one-of-a-kind rust print journal. A small weaving will embellish the cover and is perfect for incorporating small rusted found-objects. Students will craft an accordion-style text block for the journal using rust prints that can be further sewn or cut to create intriguing effects. Your rust journal becomes a record of a journey into the geographical as well as inner landscapes, enhanced by personal experience.
